  • Boat House Garden

A wonderful waterfront garden on the banks of the Carrick Roads, near Falmouth, with far reaching views across the estuary to the Roseland Peninsula.

The garden surrounds a newly built Huf Haus on a sloping site leading down to a Boat House at the waters edge. Mature trees and shrubs along the boundaries provide shelter and privacy to the contemporary home.

The sloping site has been landscaped to create lawn terraces, joined by a series of curving steps and surrounded by banks of salt tolerant low level planting.

Large granite boulders from a local quarry have been carefully positioned to retain the soil banks. A naturalistic planting scheme with ornamental grasses, colourful perennials and trailing plants soften the boulders into the landscape.
